You’re A FREAK!!!

(The Meaning & Usage Of The Slang-Term “Freak”)

Freak - GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!es, yes, I know…  And I will be the first to admit it, say it, promote it, support it, and love it into full-fruition… I AM, indeed…  A “FREAK”!!!  (And clearly proud of it.)  😎

Mr. Teacher - GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!

Yes…  This Is Your English Teacher  😆

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!lthough the word “Freak” has been used for a VERY long time as a derogatory Slang-Term for people who are different than “normal” — this word is also use BY people who are considered to be “Freaks” — but who are actually proud of their uniqueness to describe themselves.  (Just like I did in the first paragraph.)  😉

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!o for people like myself, and anyone else who would actually describe themselves as being a bit of a “Freak” — it is not a derogatory word, and if anyone calls us a “Freak”…  Their statements have no effect on us.  (But it is still not considered to be a very nice thing to say.)

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!hat being said — there are other uses for the word “Freak” which Ronnie will explain in the video below…  (I don’t actually know Ronnie, but I bet that she would consider herself to be a bit of a “Freak” as well.)

Enjoy The Video, You Crazy Freak!

😀

Just A Few More Things…

  • At 4:12  —  She says that the word “Fucking” is  “…very, very, very naughty”.  Well, as you may know by now — I am a big fan of people being able to make their own decisions about what is considered to be:  “good”, “bad”, “naughty”, “nice” — or any other adjectives which are actually subjective terms (meaning that they are, in fact, OPINIONS — and thus, are only true to the person who is saying them, but not necessarily to any other individual.)

That being said — it is generally considered by “normal” society (yuck!) that this is one of the “bad words”.  You can, however, make your own decision about that, and any other thing that someone tells you that you need to think or do.  😎

However!  —  I should warn you that using this word around children, the elderly, or in any sort of formal situation will probably result in people thinking that you are a very crude person that lacks manners.  If that is what you would like to achieve, then this a very good word to use.  But if you want people to think that you are sophisticated and intelligent, then it may not be a very good idea to use the word “Fuck”…  The choice is yours.

Sophisticated And Intelligent - GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!

Clearly A Very Sophisticated & Intelligent Man

Also…

  • Another Common Form Of The Word “Freak”  —  It has become very common, these days — when using the words with the “-ing” ending (especially slang terms) — to drop the final “g” — in both speaking and writing — and pronounce it as if it has an “-in” ending.  (Spelling it with an apostrophe-in’)

“That’s Freakin’ Awesome!!!”

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!ut — as stated above — this is most-often done with Slang-Terms.  And even though the word “Slang” is a grammatical term — it is a term which describes English which is almost always NOT grammatically correct.  😛

I Do What I Want - GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!

Finally…

  • It Should Also Be Noted  —  that the term “Freaking” (or Freakin’) is also used as a slang term for having sex.  Though this is mostly from the late ’90s and early ’00s — and was predominantly used in the Hip-Hop and R&B culture.  But it could happen that a person might still use this word in this way.

So If You Hear A Really Bad Song About…

Freakin’ (some girl)

Or

Gettin’ My Freak On

| GiveMeSomeEnglish!!!hen it is almost-definitely referring to having sex.  And it is also probably a song by Will Smith, Usher, or R. Kelly.  In-which-case you should definitely turn off that terrible music and put on something that is actually good.  Like these Freaks!  😆

Have An Excellent Day!
